Why strange, you may ask? The game combines two characters that are essentially unrelated – samurai and zombie. In the game you have to control neither zombie nor samurai, or rather not the whole samurai, but his head. Strange? Well, if it were not strange, you would have got the forth position in our top of the craziest games for PC.
So, the samurai’s head is supposed to destroy all zombies by shooting arrows from his eyes. Crazy? Well, what can you do. As soon as you manage to save at least some hostages, your head’s power will increase, and you’ll be able to kill your enemies faster.
A meteorite that fell in the desert brought devilish creatures to earth, with magnetic rays. These rays make earthlings zombies. Only the samurai sword shura can save the world. You control Namcubi, a huge samurai head who has arrived in the United States to restore order. Basically the genre of this game: advanced side-scrolling flying shooter.
It’s 1999, a seemingly harmless meteorite has fallen in the Nevada desert. However, in fact, this meteorite turned out to be “Darc Seed” – an alien powerful being. Its rays turned America into a country of zombies and revived, subjugating the Statue of Liberty, so that now the great symbol of the American people began to engage in evil deeds everywhere. Among other things, the alien creature has taken possession of all of Earth’s weapons except the great samurai sword Shura. When the supreme samurai (shogun) learned of the disasters in America, he immediately took the sword and set out to save the alien country. For only he possessed the power and knowledge to subdue the sword and channel its energy of good against the conqueror.
The long backstory promises the uniqueness of the game. In the game we control an unusual flying object, a zombie head, which in life belonged to the samurai Namakubi (Namakubi). It attacks with eyeball shots and vomit from its mouth. Enemies do not sleep and will constantly pester us – here you have zombie snipers (settled on the roofs of high-rises), and helicopters, and some completely incomprehensible devices. But in all this chaos it’s important not to forget – we also save the good zombies! The game has 4 stages and, accordingly, 4 bosses. If you pass all these tests, you’ll be able to challenge Dark Side in the final battle.
Though the graphics in “Abarenbou Tengu” is not the most outstanding, but still the game turned out to be really good with great drive. It can be recommended to fans of the genre of scrolling shooters and games, somehow related to zombies!
