Mr. Mosquito – Mosquito Life Simulator

Mr. Mosquito – Mosquito Life Simulator

Are there any people in the world who would love mosquitoes? Hardly, but the developers of the game are convinced of the opposite. Those who invented the game Mr. Mosquito, probably, wanted to mock and blow up a little human brain.

The plot of the game – it couldn’t be easier. You need to control the life of a small mosquito. Mosquito sucks the blood of people to feed and makes supplies for his family. Mosquitoes will fly over the human body until the red spots appear, well, only the spots should appear, as they greedily pounce to eat blood.

If you’re not careful and cautious enough, people can notice and swat the main character. The toy may appeal to young people, especially at the level where the mosquito will have to suck the blood of a pretty girl who has decided to bask in the bathtub.

Plot and mechanics
In each level, we are placed in a room with a member of the Yamada family. The task is simple: get drunk on blood in order to survive the winter. The family consists of the teenage daughter Rena, the family father Kenichi, and the mother Kaneyo. Each of them is busy with their daily chores or resting on the bed while we fly around the room and make havoc.

However, the player can only suck blood from a certain area of the body, which will become available when the victim starts to move. To make the victim move, you have to use objects on the level, such as various switches from lights or appliances.

Once you land on a person, you have to press R3 and rotate the right stick to start drinking. You have to watch the speed at which you suck blood and the victim’s stress scale. Sucking too fast or too slow increases the victim’s stress level. If Mr. Mosquito is hit while sucking, there will be instant death. Fill the required number of reservoirs from each point on the person’s body and the level is passed. It sounds simple, but there will be obstacles in your way.

Gameplay Details
Environmental hazards include air conditioners that destabilize flight, mosquito spirals, soap bubbles on bathroom locations and more. But the greatest danger to the player is the Yamada family. If you are spotted while flying, the family member’s stress level rises until battle mode begins.

The massive enemy drops all day-to-day activities and attacks you with his hands, feet, and bug spray. The blow here doesn’t kill instantly, but you have to avoid too much damage. To calm down a family member, you have to hit several points on his body, relieving him of his “tension”. When he relaxes, he goes back to his daily routine. Unfortunately, Mr. Mosquito is not good at maneuvering, and boss battles make it difficult to get through.

Each stage allows you to choose your own path of passage. At the beginning of each level there is a briefing detailing the room, the victim and the areas on his body from which blood can be drawn, as well as all the dangers in the location. Rooms can be explored to find various useful items. The game is rather short and the project’s modest budget is felt here. But the many items that can be collected and the final rating encourages repeated playthroughs.
