Never Alone

Never Alone

What girl didn’t love fairy tales as a child? We’re sure many have carried this love through the years and would be interested in an adventure game about the far north called Never Alone.

What do we know about the far north? Basically nothing except that it’s very cold and there are people who live in igloos and raise reindeer. In one such distant and uncharted region, there lived a girl named Nana. Her tribe was engaged in hunting and fishing, in which Nana, despite her young age, perfectly helped them in these difficult affairs. One day a heavy snowstorm hit the village where the tribe lived, and the people were unable to live their usual way of life. Then Nana set out to find explanations for such a severe disgrace from nature to her tribesmen and met a charming fox, who became her devoted friend. Together with him they will go through a lot of difficulties and adventures, but all of them will not be so difficult, because if you are not alone – everything is easier to bear.

First of all, Never Alone is an insanely beautiful game (believe me, with a good iron you can see every hair of a fox!), which you can fall in love with at least for the graphics and the sound. A unique feature of the game is the voiceover in Inupiaq – the language of the Alaska Natives, where the game unfolds. Of course you will be provided with subtitles, but this original soundtrack gives a special atmosphere during the playthrough.

During the game you will come across small video clips about the life of people in the north and the local flora and fauna. They are not obligatory to watch, but you can pay attention to them to feel the atmosphere from beginning to end.

The control on PC is a little bit difficult, because originally the game was released on the console, but after a while you are completely immersed in the gaming process and don’t pay attention to some difficulties. You will have to control both Nana and the fox at once, because some puzzles can only be solved by two.

The game is literally passed in two evenings and leaves you with the warmest feelings.
